How Long Will Your House Washing Last?

Chad Roeder • May 14, 2025

One of the most common questions we get is: “How long will my house stay clean after a wash?” And the truth is—there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

Several factors affect how long your home will stay looking fresh:

  • Moisture levels – High humidity and frequent rain can speed up the return of mold and algae.
  • Sun exposure – Homes shaded by trees tend to stay damp longer, creating the perfect breeding ground for mildew.
  • Proximity to fields or busy roads – Dust is a food source for mold. The more dust, the faster organic growth can return.

Because no two properties are the same, cleaning frequency will vary. But one thing is consistent: soft washing lasts 5–6 times longer than standard pressure washing.

Why?

Because soft washing doesn’t just rinse the surface—it kills the microscopic spores left behind by pressure washing. And since it uses low pressure, it’s also much safer for your home, especially for delicate surfaces like siding, stucco, and painted trim.

At Spartan Pro Wash, we recommend annual soft washing to keep organic growth from taking over and creating an unhealthy environment around your home.

Just check out the photos above. This home hadn’t been washed in four years—we had cleaned it for the previous owners, and the new homeowners were shocked at the transformation. Let’s just say, they’re thrilled to have a fresh start.
